Well, I missed recapping the week of 7/8 based on quite a bit of travel and an associated large project. I’ll try not to let that happen again, but no promises!

Last week was packed with Intelligent Tweets. Below are a few of my favorites. The week’s common theme centers around Big Data Apps (BDAs). This space is rapidly evolving and focuses on applications targeting traditional business functions i.e. sales, marketing, legal, finance, etc. Marrying BDAs with SaaS providers like Salesforce, who often support more than one function, combined with a collaboration engine like Chatter means that BDA insights can be shared in real time – and acted upon accordingly. It’s not surprising to see the likes of Salesforce all over this but I have to admit I was somewhat surprised to see SAP taking an interest (granted it was someone from the SuccessFactors business). However, if SAP sees BDAs as the ‘future’ vs today, they will once again be too late to the party.
