Bio
My name is Mike Rogan, and, if you're reading this, you've stumbled upon my website - one way or the other.
I work in the IT field (that's computers - basically, in case you're not a "techie geek"). I've been doing this since graduating from Niagara University (a little over a half decade now) and enjoy it (most days).
I have a full-time day job at Duke University as well as my own web development company, Carolina Web Development, that keeps me busy nights and weekends.
In my spare time (when I don't have a laptop open somewhere), I enjoy running, traveling, and working out at the gym (a.k.a. ass kicking).
I'm originally from Upstate New York (a place called Elmira that I would bet you haven't heard of - near Buffalo). This is where I met my beautiful wife, Stacey. Check out her site! (www.webchicky.com). I have lived in Raleigh for the past several years (since I was smart enough to leave Upstate NY)! :)
While I'm not a native, I am really glad to live in North Carolina. It's a great place to be for the field I'm in and provides a great quality of life outside of work (beach and mountains are *easy* weekend getaways). It is also a rapidly growing area (the City of Raleigh alone has added 100,000 people over the past 5 years/1.2 million total population in metro area) which means that things are always changing, with new construction and opportunities popping up all around.
